Evinrude ranked among the lowest total regulated emissions for toxic gases according to the US EPA and California Resources Board.

EVINRUDE’S E-TEC engines are the only full range of 2-stroke outboards that are certified by the Australian emissions standards.

According to the manufacturers, Evinrude has stepped to the top of the environmental podium for all outboards, 2-stroke or 4-stroke. Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines, they say, produce the fewest reportable emissions and are cleaner for the environment.

Evinrude ranked among the lowest total regulated emissions for toxic gases according to the US EPA and California Resources Board. In addition, it is the only gasoline outboard engine that won the prestigious EPA Clean Air Excellence Award.

2-stroke engines have more torque than 4-stroke counterparts. Meanwhile, direct Injection introduces a precise amount of fuel into the combustion chamber to ensure no excess fuel is released into the environment. This is the secret to the Evinrude E-TEC and why it is more fuel efficient and produces the least emissions.

Luke Fitzpatrick, a proud Evinrude Owner and Passionate Australian Boatie said ‘The fuel efficiency of my 50HP Evinrude E-TEC is between 2.5-3.5 km/L’

‘The other thing that I like about my Evinrude E-TEC is the torque’ said Fitzpatrick ‘The low end torque of the Evinrude E-Tec means that I have instant power when I need it’.
