VesselView screens now allow drivers to monitor and control both their main engine and their trolling motor through the one multifunction display.

MOTORGUIDE’S Xi5 and Xi3 trolling motors can now be operated through selected Mercury VesselView and Simrad multifunction displays.

Boaters with VesselView displays will benefit especially as VesselView screens now allow drivers to monitor and control both their main engine and their trolling motor through the one multifunction display.

“MotorGuide make leading trolling motors. The fact that they can now be controlled and monitored through VesselView, Simrad and Lowrance screens just makes them even more attractive,” said Paul McLean, Mercury’s Director Parts & Accessories.

“At Mercury, the goal with all the technology we offer is to make boating and fishing easier and more enjoyable and that’s certainly the case here with VesselView now providing the opportunity to operate both engines – the main engine and the trolling motor – via the one touch screen.”

The software upgrade is now available on the Mercury Marine website and is suitable for VesselView 502/702/703/903 screens.

Installing the software upgrade is quite simple. Owners just need to download the data from the website to a micro SD card which is then used to transfer the update to the VesselView or Simrad unit.
