TODAY’S video features an estimated 1100lb blue marlin released off the Gold Coast last week. Congratulations to Ross McCubbin, Bob Jones and angler Lorraine Golightly. There was some initial debate over whether it was a blue marlin or a black marlin but most experienced people are now confident that it was a blue. With no flying gaffs on board the decision was made to release the fish after having the fish on the leader four times.
