A VICTORIAN fisho, Wissam Karim, has landed a very impressive 17.6kg mulloway on light gear from his kayak at St Kilda’s new marina near the pier.
“I was playing around some very light gear catching pinkies when all of a sudden the rod struck,” Karim said.
“At first i thought it was a stingray but the head shakes kept me in suspense. The gear it was caught on was Shimano 3-5kg rod and 15 Lb braid and leader. It took me about 15 minutes to reel it in”.
