MURRAY cod and yellowbelly have been salvaged from Victorian irrigation channels and relocated.
In addition, 34 Murray cod were retained and taken to Snobs Creek hatchery as future broodfish.
Victorian fisheries says the salvage is part of a plan with Goulburn-Murray Water to relocate iconic native fish ahead of scheduled maintenance work on irrigation channels near Cobram.
