VIDEO: Shoalhaven artificial reef

THIS video shows anglers in no uncertain terms just how many fish are hanging around the Shoalhaven artifical reef. Even better, the reef is located in 30m of water only about 6km north-east of the Crookhaven River entrance at Greenwell Point. It’s well within reach of the average seaworthy tinnie.

As well as the salmon, tailor and kings featured in the video, fish that have been seen or caught at the reef include mulloway, snapper, squid, sharks and all the usual bait species. It should produce black marlin in season, with the right currents. It’s a great example of how NSW fishing licence fees are being spent on projects that directly benefit recreational fishers.
