JAPANESE lure designs always represent out of the box thinking, and Shimano’s new Ocea Bubble Dip is no exception. Weighing 76g and available in five fish-catching colours, Shimano says the Bubble Dip is easy to work in a number of ways.

Best described as a stickbait/slim popper hybrid, the cup face also features a bubble chamber to create pop and extra froth and bubble when the lure is worked with the rod. This versatile lure can be worked to produce varying action – walking the dog then punching through the water in short diving bursts, all the while throwing up a splashing spout and a trail of bubbles – visible even in rough water.

The internal AR-C loaded spring weight system means the Bubble Dip can be cast long distances, but quickly regains its balance on splashdown.

Shimano says the 3X body design means it’s tough; delivering higher impact resistance and three times the strength of comparable lures. And no pulled hook eyelets either, thanks to Shimano’s super strong Through Wire construction. Additionally, there’s a third eyelet on the belly, which is used for attaching a swinging assist hook.
