This is done by simply inserting the leader into the braid a few feet, which is also a slim transition to the leader due to its slender and tight fit as the leader sits inside the braid.
The hollow braid allows for smooth casting since there’s no “bump” through the guides from the knot on the way out and the diameter of the new line is no thicker than other similar-sized braids on the market.
