GOOD quality stainless steel knives need to be tough but not hard, which is why the steel for Victory knives has sufficient chromium to ensure the knives don’t corrode and a high carbon content to help keep a good edge. The blades, which have a hardness of 54-56 RC, are made from steel that is imported from Germany.
The Victory stainless steel blade has a sub-zero (-78°C) quench after hardening. This particular process produces a strong, tough and wear-resistant blade with improved edge retention. It also produces a finer grain and Victory says this is the reason that its knives are less prone to corrosion and well-known for maintaining their edge.
