2021 Japan fishing shows cancelled
TWO major fishing tackle shows planned for 2021 have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Angling International has reported that the Japan Fishing Festival in Yokohama and the Fishing Show Osaka, which take place in January and February, will not now go ahead following predictions of a resurgence of the pandemic in Asia during that time.
Both shows were held this year, taking place before lockdown restrictions came in to place across the globe. The cancellations are worrying for the trade and cast a shadow over other fishing events in the region next year.
Meanwhile, the situation regarding the 2021 China Fish show, which fell victim to the virus last year, is unknown.
