THE 50th GAMEX fishing tournament will be hosted by the Exmouth Game Fishing Club from March 16-24.
With recent sensational statistics in the billfishing scene, it is expected to be another ripper event.
Charter operator, Eddy Lawler, managed to get a double marlin grand slam in one day recently; something we believe may never have been achieved before.
Captain Lawler also made the headlines on New Year’s Day when his crew weighed in the first official blue marlin weighing over 1000lb.
There are over 40 gamefish species to target on all line classes in waters close to shore in this fishing hotspot.
Over 50 boats including mainly trailer and some charter boats fish this event in this remote location, situated at latitude 22deg south.
The GAMEX event includes 6 days of fishing, social nights, educational sessions, scientific studies and much more.
