ARNHEM Land Barramundi Lodge has been selected as the first port of call by the Million Dollar Fish tagging team which is scheduled to visit the Lodge in early August.

This means that those barra sporting the prize-winning red tags will be fit, ready and fair game when the starter’s whistle sounds on 1 October.

This second season of Million Dollar Fish will have even more prizes to lure anglers and promote tourism in the Top End.

Registrations have already opened with the competition to begin on 1st October when you can start fishing for 101 barramundi which will have been tagged and released at various locations across the Northern Territory, including the Barra Lodge.

One will carry a million dollar prize tag and the other 100 fish will be worth $10,000 each if caught. Plus if anyone catches a $10,000 fish at the Barra Lodge then they will match it with $10,000 towards your next lodge trip!

That’s right, if you are lucky enough to catch one of the $10,000 tagged barra while at the Lodge, Outback Spirit Tours will match that value ($10,000.00) against your next Lodge booking!

Of course, if you catch the Million Dollar Fish itself, they won’t be matching that, but we’re sure you’ll be happy enough anyway with a million dollars just for catching one barra!

There are still great spots available during the Barra Lodge’s limited Build-up season of Oct/Nov, and that’s when the competition to catch a prized tagged barra will be running.

It’s also when you can expect some outstanding barramundi fishing as the Build-up is prime-time barra fishing.

Call (08) 8983 1544, email barralodge@nafa.com.au or visit the Barra Lodge website to find out how you can fish for the Million Dollar Barra.
