ATOMIC’S Shiner 75 and 85mm lures now reach new diving depths of 2-2.5 metres, making them ideal for anglers chasing mangrove jacks, barra and threadfin up north close to the banks over shallow timber.
One cast and a couple of cranks will have the lure quickly working at depth, giving it more time in the strike zone.
The 75mm model is capable of quickly getting to 2m while the 85mm will dive to 2.5m.
Alongside the existing Double Deep models capable of depths up to 4.5m, these lures are extra versatile as they can also be trolled for the likes of mackerel.
The makers say Shiners will handle reasonable speeds and feature a tight wobble which sends out vibrations like a stricken baitfish.
