Big & Tuff

We've previously featured a smaller variation of this heavy-duty threadline reel that's designed and assembled here in Australia - a rarity these days.

Like the XTA Diablo 9000 from TuffTackle, big brother, the XTA Diablo Sniper 10000 is also Aussie-designed and assembled and if a few cranks of it in the confines of the Fisho office are anything to go by it's built to take some punishment!

TuffTackle says this heavy duty spin reel - which has the thickest bail arm the Fisho crew have ever seen - is a 60 kilo rated spin reel that just has big fish written all over it. With a gear ratio of 4.1:1, infinite anti-reverse and a rugged gearing system that feels built for any punishment that comes its way the Diablo Sniper 10000 means business.

Finished with a striking black body and constrasting gold anodising and a powerful handle it retails for around $695. From all accounts, the Aussie-made Sniper is right up there as a seriously heavy duty reel.

Stay tuned for an upcoming test on this reel.
