A TAGGED jewfish has been recaptured for the fourth time in three years in the Brisbane River according to Suntag.

This fish was originally tagged in March 2014 at 760mm. 21 days later it was caught again 7km downstream at the river mouth. Then again, 96 days later it was recaptured 22km back up river in the city centre.

Finally almost 3 years later it was recaptured back down the river mouth at 1050mm.

This time it ran out of luck as it was kept for dinner!

More information on the Queensland tagging program can be found on the Suntag website.
