DUO International has just released another lifelike topwater lure – the Duo Realis Grade A Shinmushi, an imitation of an adult cicada.
The Shinmushi is 40mm in length and weighs 5.7grams. The English translation for the name Shinmushi means “ultimate bug” and this lure looks set to live up to its name.
The makers say that what separates the Shinmushi from other cicada imitations is that it can be customised. By using your fingers to unscrew the eyelet from the underbelly of the Shinmushi it will come apart from the body in three components, the back piece, wings and legs. The legs can be replaced with feathers, furs or rubber skirt material.
Also, there will be spare packs that will be available with all parts including wings, legs, feathered trebles, and top and bottom pieces.
