Diving accident claims fishing show presenter

The popular presenter of the Adventure Bound fishing show, Neil Tedesco, has died in a tragic free diving accident.

Tedesco, 31 years old, reportedly died while undergoing free diving training at a local gymnasium on April 16. He was involved in the outdoor and local fishing industry for the last decade, culminating with his contributing efforts toward Season 4 of the Adventure Bound series – currently screening on TVS Sydney and Channel 31 in other states around Australia.

According to a tribute posted by Dean Tedesco on the Adventure Bound website, Neil Tedesco’s favourite pastimes included, fishing, diving, spear fishing and four-wheel-driving.
He took up fishing at the age of 10, spearfishing at the age of 14 and later four-wheel-driving to reach many remote fishing locations around Australia. Notably, Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast was his favourite fishing location haunt where he spent many hours rock fishing for kingfish, tuna and marlin.

A private funeral and public service for those who wish to pay their respects is expected to be held this week.
