E-TEC Gen 2 officially launched in Australia

BRP officially launched the Evinrude range of G2 E-TEC outboards to the Australian market at a function this week in Sydney.

The event concluded two days of water testing on nearby Sydney Harbour.

Evinrude’s G2 range of ETECs are available in 200H.O, 225hp, 225H.O, 250hp, 250H.O and 300hp models with smaller engines in the pipeline.

With a bold new design, the key features of the new donks include improved fuel efficiency and exceptional power to weight ratio. The new engines also feature a clever custom colour concept and unprecedented 500 hour and five year no scheduled service period.

BRP’s after sales manager APAC, Riley Tolmay, told Fisho this year’s Club E-TEC was an event which brought together dealers and distributors from Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan and the Asia PAcific.

The event which started Monday showcased the company’s new products including the G2 outboard, the F3 Can-Am Spyder, the X DS Maverick turbo Can-Am and other Can-Am products.

“We took the opportunity to invite closely connected friends, consumers, media and dealers to celebrate the BRP business and some of the new products we have on offer,” said Tolmay.

“The dealers had the opportunity to experience the G2 and they were pumped,” he said.

“The customisation was a stand out and the 500 hours, five year non service period. It’s a big statement to the industry that we’re in the game for a serious buyer,” said Tolmay.

BRP also announced the renewed partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia.

“We are proud to be a partner with Surf Life Saving Australia. We don’t make much profit on the products, but it’s a big part of Australian culture and we do it to support the cause and it’s great to be affiliated with them,” said Tolmay.
