Fish Docklands on Australia Day

MELBOURNIANS have the opportunity to learn more about fishing this Australia Day.

Alongside events around Melbourne on January 26, Fisheries Victoria and Future Fish Foundation will be at Docklands providing fishing advice, equipment and expertise.

Attendees can learn about the types of fish that can be caught in the waters around Docklands, successful techniques and sustainable fishing practices.

This will be a free event at Harbour Esplanade from 11am- 4pm on Thursday 26 January. Rods, tackle and bait will be available to participants who registered in the Fisheries Victoria marquee. A limited number of rod and reel packages will be given away to participants as part of the event.

Whether you love to fish in Docklands or want to learn more about fishing in general, join in the fun and come along.

Displays, information and other entertainment will also be in the Docklands precinct on the day.
