NSW DPI is holding a free community fishing event at Spencer Park, Main Street, Merimbula, this Saturday, 29 February, between 9am and 3pm.
You’ll be able to try your hand at the great sport of fishing, learn the latest tips and tricks and enjoy a fun-filled family day out.
There will be fishing workshops for kids and adults, casting lessons and some great giveaways!
The team of Fishcare volunteers and members of the Merimbula Big Game and Lake Angling Club will provide tuition on casting, knot tying, rigging, lures and bait.
Fishing rods, bait and assistance will be provided for a fishing session from the club’s jetty.
