THE Eildon Pondage was stocked today with 200 ex-brood fish from Fisheries Victoria’s Snobs Creek hatchery, near Eildon.

Following NSW DPI’s lead from ealier this week, Fisheries Victoria released 100 brown trout, averaging 2.5kg each, and 100 rainbow trout averaging 2kg.

Fishers are reminded that the daily bag limit at the Pondage is 5 trout, of which no more than 2 can exceed 35cm.

Stocking is funded by recreational fishing licence fees and the State Government’s Target One Million plan for recreational fishing, which aims to get more people fishing, more often.
