THE Forbes Shire Council in NSW has recently installed a new fishing platform at Lions Park at Lake Forbes, thanks to funding from the Recreational Fishing Trust.
The floating pontoon includes a ramp providing access from the shared footpath, lighting and railings with rod holders.
The design ensures that fishers with limited mobility can enjoy fishing within the lake.
So next time you are travelling through the Central West region of NSW, drop into Forbes and see if you can catch one of the golden perch or Murray cod stocked into the lake by NSW DPI over the years.
