ACCORDING to an item on the VRFish Facebook page, fishers will not be welcome in Walkerville, Vic, this summer.
The Walkerville Foreshore Reserve Management Committee is proposing to lock anglers out of the south ramp at Walkerville over summer under the guise of a “safety trial”. According toVRFish, this is from the same committee of land management that slashed the amount of parking space from 44 to 16 trailers at the so-called upgrade of the north ramp at Walkerville.
VRFish are calling for anglers’ support in bringing commonsense and proper coastal management back to Wakerville.
