HUMMINBIRD says its all new HELIX family of compact-format fishfinders feature a best-in-class, widescreen colour display and powerful, professional-grade features.
Humminbird’s recent shift to a 5-inch diagonal 800H x 480V screen 256-color TFT display recalls the 16:9 aspect ratio of High Definition TV, but in a more compact format.
Consumers have become accustomed to wide screen viewing on TVs, computer screens and tablets and the Humminbird 800 and 900 series units have been very popular for that reason.
Now, Humminbird is offering Wide Screen HD viewing in a compact 5” Display. The wide screen format is the optimum format for split screen operation as well as our patented Side Imaging.
With the lower profile of 140mm high on bracket and 110mm in dash with a width of 193mm, these units will suit many boats that other 5” units will not. Keen ‘yak anglers will also love the wide screen HELIX which takes advantage of Wide Screen Side Imaging in a compact unit.
