KEEN bluewater fishers know that fish aggregating devices (FADs) are popular spots at this time of year. Legions of keen fishos regularly head out to the network of 30 FADs along the NSW coast in search of acrobatic dolphinfish and other pelagic sportfish.

In order to “ease the squeeze” at heavily utilised FADs off Sydney, NSW DPI Fisheries this week installed three new FADs in close proximity to the FADs already deployed at Sydney East (The Peak), Botany Bay Wide (12 Mile) and Sydney South (east of Port Hacking).

NSW DPI says, these additional FADs will reduce congestion and provide even better fishing at these popular locations.
