Humminbird's 550 sounder represents excellent value, thanks to a 12 level grayscale 240V x 240H 5" display and Single Beam sonar with 1600 Watts PTP power output - all for around $299 RRP.
The 550 is designed to display the bottom in a depth of up to 800ft using a 200 kHz/20degree beam @ -10db. It features advanced characteristics including: Real Time Sonar RTS Window, selective fish ID, Sonar Echo Enhancement and split screen Zoom.
The Humminbird 550 also offers user friendly technology with a custom digital readout selection and custom view selections as well as large digit view, and an Xpress menu system. Waterproofing, water temperature and backlighting all come standard with the 550 and it is mounted on Humminbird’s Quick Disconnecting Mounting System.
The unit is speed capable and has Triplog as an option.
