Peacock bass have reportedly been caught near Mackay, Queensland.

ACCORDING to a report from the Mackay Recreational Fishers Alliance, peacock bass, a highly invasive pest fish species, have been caught at Dumbleton Weir on the Pioneer River in Mackay, Queensland. Anyone who captures these fish are encouraged to make sure they are removed from the river and to report it to DAF, Queensland.
