Position Vacant: AFANT Executive Officer

THE Amateur Fishermen’s Association of the Northern Territory Inc. (AFANT), the peak body for recreational fishing in the Northern Territory, is on the lookout for an appropriate person to fill its Executive Officer role.

Working with the AFANT President and Committee, the successful applicant will be  responsible for all aspects of the association’s activities including its role as an advocate for recreational fishing and its involvement in fishery management.

Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to deal effectively with government and industry leaders at all levels as well as fishing clubs and grass roots fishers. They will also need exceptional communications skills ranging from complex submission preparation through to direct media activities. An attractive remuneration package which includes a vehicle and superannuation will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience.
