THE Boating Industry Association (BIA) says excitement is building with strong industry support for the Sydney Festival of Boating at Darling Harbour over 29 July to 1 August.
The festival will be held at the International Convention Centre which currently has COVID Safe capacity for more than 40,000 people over the four days. The festival will occupy the upper-level halls together with undercover exhibitor displays on the Event Deck. The festival will also feature a marina in Cockle Bay which will accommodate larger on-water displays and the promenade leading to Tumbalong Park with feature festival activations and displays.
Planning for the festival includes an event for careers and apprentices on Thursday and an official breakfast function on the Friday. Details of the events program will be released in coming weeks.
