AS ridiculous as it sounds, some fishing enthusiasts have recorded their efforts trolling off the 10 metre high fantail of the USS Nimitz. These guys have serious gear and are no joke!
The video was published by US Sportfishing Magazine and was provided by Lieutenant Tyler Brown and shot by Machinist’s Mate Nuclear Second Class Turner Benham.

Manueverability is understandably limited and Lt. Brown says their trolling speed is typically around 8 knots, and notes that even an effort to slow down probably would take so long it wouldn’t help.
Nonetheless, these guys were determined to prove they could catch tuna from an aircraft carrier.
