VICTORIA'S Metropolitan Angler's Association (MAA), in conjunction with Access for All Abilities, recently conducted a fishing clinic at Yarrambat Park Lake.
This clinic was supported by the Northern Fly Fisher's Club and aimed at encouraging persons with impairments or disabilities to participate in exciting freshwater fishing activities.
Fisheries Victoria stocked the lake prior to the event to allow for increased fishing opportunities for those involved.
Members from MAA and affiliated clubs volunteered their services as mentors to tutor the participants on the day.
With over 80 participants, all showing enthusiasm, it proved to be a great day with many of those involved already looking forward to the next one.
