THE Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide mobile app has had a major update in response to angler feedback.
The new update is ready now, and comes with a stack of awesome features, including:
- The ‘Can I fish here?’ function, which uses GPS to tell you in real time whether you are in a marine national park or marine sanctuary.
- Online licence purchasing functions
- Expanded species info
- Updated rules and regulations
- Expandable images and maps – you’ll be able to zoom in!
Even better, the app can now provide real-time updates directly from Fisheries HQ, ensuring you’ve always got access to the latest information.

If your phone isn’t currently set up for automatic updates, you’ll need to visit the App Store or Google Play and manually update it from there.
