REVIEW: Samaki Marlin Long Sleeve Shirt
THE recent onset of hot weather has provided me with the ideal conditions to get out on the water and field test the newest clothing release from Samaki, the Marlin Long Sleeve Shirt.
Being of fair skin and prone to burning quickly, I’ve got a wardrobe chockers with long sleeve fishing shirts of various types and I’ve got to say that the Samaki Marlin Long Sleeve Shirt is the most comfortable fishing shirt I’ve ever worn.
The UPF 50+ Samaki FishDry fabric that the shirt is constructed from is a lightweight 100 per cent polyester material that keeps you incredibly cool, yet still breathes. This shirt will be the first thing I pack for any tropical barra or bonefishing trips in the future.
The attention to detail in the superb billfish artwork on the front and back of this shirt exudes a level of quality that has come to be expected from the Samaki brand in recent years. The shirt sleeves also feature a cool game fishing tag & release flag and Samaki motif. The stain release technology and super wicking ability of the Samaki FishDry fabric means that this shirt is ideally suited to the needs of the travelling angler fishing warmer climates.
If there’s a better tropical/hot weather fishing shirt on the market than the Samaki Marlin Long Sleeve shirt then I haven’t seen it yet.
