WELL respected European brand, Savage Gear, is releasing a new range of lures through BCF stores. This includes two topwater lures, the Panic Prey and Mudd Minnow, both of which have been put to the test on Australian species. The Panic Prey comes in a 10.5cm, 16g model as well as a 13.5cm, 28g lure, both featuring a fold up Y-treble hook, streamlined body and internal ball bearings offering good castability. The popper mouth spits and splashes on a walk the dog retrieve, sitting tail down on the pause. It is based on a 3D scan of an anchovy. The realistic properties of this lure are further enhanced through internal laser paper emitting life like flash.

Available in 8.7cm and 11g as well as 11.5cm and 22.5g models the Mudd Minnow is a versatile topwater offering with a wide action and ease of walking. These lures also respond well to being burned across the surface for pelagics. A slow sinking, weedless lure made of durable TPE soft plastic is also available in the Mudd Minnow pattern. The finish of both hardbody lures is of great quality, withstanding the teeth of some big NSW Central Coast tailor during testing.

Retailing at $15.99, the first cast of these lures is sure to impress serious anglers all over the country, I know it did for me.
