The upgrade will double the number of boat ramps from two to four and include an accessible pontoon to allow all-abilities boat access.

THE Corinella boat ramp upgrade is due to start on May 27.

Better Boating Victoria recently met with the Corinella Foreshore Committee of Management to congratulate them on appointing SMC Marine Pty Ltd to lead the ramp upgrade project.

SMC Marine were selected following a rigorous tender process. They are a maritime contractor with a wide range of marine construction capabilities and a track record of successful constructions and infrastructure projects around Australia.

The upgrade will double the number of boat ramps from two to four and include an accessible pontoon to allow all-abilities boat access. In addition, a new land-based fishing cleaning facility will be installed, providing plenty of room for anglers to clean their catch.

The $1.45 million upgrade is being funded by $1.16 million from the Boating Safety and Facilities Program and $250,000 from the Victorian Fisheries Authority Target One Million plan.

There’s a lot to look forward to at this facility when the warm weather returns.
