Four more freshwater fishing waters have been opened to small craft.

THE day Victorian fishos have been waiting for is finally here…Hepburn Lagoon, Upper Coliban, Lauriston and Malmsbury reservoirs are officially open to kayaks, canoes and small portable craft (car toppers) with electric motors.

If you ever needed an excuse to buy yourself a kayak, the time is now!

Minister for Fishing and  Boating, Jaala Pulford, officially opened the four reservoirs this morning at the Upper Coliban Reservoir. To celebrate the official opening, the Victorian Fisheries Authority have stocked some big Murray cod and trout into the Upper Coliban Reservoir!

Following the success of on water access at Tullaroop and Barkers Creek reservoirs, these four waters are bound to have some cracking fish and provide anglers with exciting, new fishing opportunities.

What's your reaction?
