TRANSPORT for NSW says its Maritime Safety Plan 2026 has been developed as part of the government’s commitment to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on waterways.
The new five-year plan incorporates a “Safe System Approach” and includes proposed changes to mandatory life jackets for larger boats, drone surveillance and QR codes at boat ramps.
Transport NSW is seeking feedback on the proposals via an online survey.
