DESPITE the reclassification of the NSW mulloway stock as “depleted”, vision and images of beach hauling of mature fish on the NSW North Coast has been circulating on social media in recent days.
Fishing World published the above footage on Facebook, captured last Saturday at Crowdy Head. There has also been recent reports of mulloway beach hauling occuring at Coffs Harbour.
While Fisho doesn’t begrudge anyone the right to make a living, the recent beach hauling has called into further question NSW DPI’s handling of this highly prized sportfish.
