DEBBIE Dare is a super-keen collector of fishing lures, in between running the Glen Lyon dam caravan park with her husband Brian. She particularly treasures hand crafted timber lures from the New England/Tenterfield region of NSW. The lures themselves are spectacular works of art with gleaming paint jobs, but for Debbie it’s really the stories behind the lure makers that drives her passion for lure collecting.
This video was made with a great deal of inspiration and hands-on support from Jeff Licence of ABC Open. His job is to help Australians develop their skills to tell their stories through video, writing and photography.
